Faith in the Midst Uncertainty

I don’t know about you, but I like things to be predictable. I like to know the plan before I start out. For years I lived with uncertainty about everything in my life. It left me full of fear and anxiety. I longed for a solid path, something steady and sure. It seemed like most people around me had that, and I often wondered why my road felt so much harder.

That uncertainty filled my heart with fear. I made some unwise decisions and followed those fears for far too long. At the time, I didn’t know how to seek the wisdom of God or how to trust Him with the unknown.

You may have lived a more predictable life, followed your career path, and made plans for your future, and I honor you for that. But now we all wake up every day to a world that feels increasingly uncertain. There are conflicts across the globe that we pray don’t spill over into our nation. Changing economics and contradictory news reports can make us feel like we don’t know who we can trust. We face unexpected health diagnoses, job changes, or strained relationships. Plans we carefully make can shift overnight, and the future doesn’t always look the way we imagined it would. We wonder about our children, our homes, our finances, and even the direction of our nation. The constant stream of information can leave our hearts feeling unsettled. Technology moves faster than we can keep up, and what about AI and robots? Ahhhh!! In the middle of it all, it’s easy to feel like the ground beneath us is shifting, but it is in these very moments of uncertainty that our faith has the opportunity to grow deeper roots.

Jesus said, “…everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world.” John 16:33 TPT

Our courage and our peace come from the One who invites us to give our lives to Him. He is the One who will never leave us, never abandon us, and is always faithful. He walks with us through every pain, every trial, and every uncertainty we face. You can trust Him. If you believe in Jesus and ask Him to heal your heart, He will. He healed mine, and I know He can do the same for you.

This decision is the beginning of a relationship with our Creator. As we spend time in His presence, talking to Him and listening for Him to talk to us, our hearts begin to change even more. The Bible is not just a historical book. It’s God talking to us. Our fears start to lose their grip. Our thinking becomes clearer. Our faith grows stronger, bringing wisdom and comfort. We learn to hear His voice and follow His leading. We can trust Him when we are in uncertain places.

Our life on earth goes by so quickly. I pray you choose wisely, because one day, sooner than you think, we will leave all these things behind. Heaven is real. Hell is real. Eternity is never-ending. I plead with you that if you do nothing else, believe in Jesus. He’s the key to the eternal life we are all longing for.

With love, Vicky
